A horrifying fire outbreak in Fise, an Amasaman neighbourhood in the Ga West Municipality of the Greater Accra area, resulted in the deaths of four children in a single night.

The children, who were asleep when the fire destroyed their room, were ages 15, 12, 8, and 7.

The founder of Yahweh Revelation Sabbath Ministry and the mother of the deceased, Prophetess Adelaide Nkrumah, has spoken out about the horrifying incident some three years later and revealed that life has not been the same since.

In an exclusive interview with Nana Yaa Konadu Yiadom for TalkLife TV, she revealed that she had left for a half-night prayer session immediately before the fire started on October 28, 2020, at dawn.

She described how each of her five children was fast asleep as she was exiting the room. She claimed that after making up her mind to accompany them, she decided to leave the other four behind when she discovered that they were all fast asleep.

She claimed that after just 20 minutes of attendance at her prayer centre, someone hurried in to tell her that her house was on fire.

According to her, the house was already on fire when she arrived, trapping her children inside where they perished.

After losing their children, Prophetess Adelaide stated that she and her husband are currently going through a difficult time because she is unable to perform the menial tasks that normally bring in money.

She went on to say that, regrettably, her own family had rejected her.

“Life has changed lately because my spouse and I are having problems. I’ve heard it claimed that if I’m a servant of God, why should I go through this? My family has abandoned me, and no one is now genuinely worried about me. Nobody still has any idea of where I moved following the catastrophe.

“I think that what I am experiencing now is comparable to what Job experienced; he was made fun of by friends and family, but in the end, he was righted. At the moment, she is not having an easy life. My landlord has ejected me even though my rent has expired. Tears flowed down her face as she continued, “I have nowhere to go, and I haven’t been able to start working since the incident.

The opportunity presented itself for her to restart her ministry and beg for help in locating housing.

While their four children were murdered in the fire, her husband, Mr. Kwame Nkrumah, encouraged the police administration to renew investigations into the tragedy because they believed an arsonist was to blame.
